Sweet Girl on a Sweet Day

Yes Olivia is super sassy but she is also super sweet. And SO funny! On this particular day she was such a sweetheart all day. Nana and PawPaw had come over the day before and had stayed the night. When we woke up we got ready and Nana went with Olivia and I to Frisco so Haley could take some cute Valentine pics of Olivia. Before we left Olivia posed with PawPaw for a sweet pic.
Olivia LOVES her PawPaw

When we got back from Frisco we ate lunch and then Olivia took a nap. When she woke up we went over to Grandmothers for a visit and I got some sweet pics of her there also.
She loves to play with Grandmother's cane. She calls it "grandmother's candy cane." LOL.

Grandmother also has an "Olivia sized" candy cane for the kiddos.

she loves the dandelions

and the old rickety swings

and the fake ducks and frog in the monkey grass

This is Grandmother and Olivia with Gloria. I think Grandmother said she got Gloria when she was 5 years old. She is a big heavy doll and Olivia loves lugging her around Grandmother's house, putting her down for naps, covering her with blankets, feeding her, talking to her, etc... Olivia will sometimes just randomly ask me where Gloria is and what she is doing. She is a special doll so I thought it was necessary to have a picture with the three of them together.

Again, being super sweet. I asked her to smile for a picture with Grandmother and she leaned over and pressed her head against Grandmother.

and back on herself

I just happened to walk in on this - Olivia sitting like such a big girl in the recliner watching tv while Johnnie was on the computer.

I have GOT to start writing down and blogging all of the funny things she says and does. The girl is hilarious. Cracks us up all day long. Her vocabulary is incredible. Right now she is swinging from the side of the office chair singing "a doo dong day, a doo dong day, a doo dong day" and laughing like crazy. I'm pretty sure she just made it up and thinks its the best song. Most of the songs she sings are from Yo Gabba Gabba. Her most recent fave is "pajama party time, jumpin around, pajama party time, jumpin around, dancin pajamas, dancin pajamas!" she sings as loud as she can and bounces all around the room dancing. She also still sings to all of her "friends" that sleep in her bed with her every night. I keep saying I'm going to video her monitor b/c we watch it and laugh every night. OH - her newest phrase is "I don't know" which is pretty funny. She also tells us "Good job!" a lot. And I always hear her telling King "King, you're my favorite, you're so cute!" But today she told Mox (my parents chocolate lab) "Good boy Mox, you're so smart." Right now she is trying to get Mox to eat his dog food so she is putting one piece at a time right in front of his mouth while he lays on the floor. It's working :) She just said "Good job Moxy! Is it yummy? Here, eat this little piece, here." Ok now she just dumped the entire bowl out on the floor! I looked over at her and said "Olivia what happened?!?" and she said "Nuffin!!!" So I had to LOL and then she said "I just want him to eat his food!" Funny girl.

Chocolate Cake Playdate

Our playgroup does a lot of themed playdates. I volunteered to host on National Chocolate Cake Day (bet you didn't know that existed) and the kids AND MOMS loved it :) Each mom made their favorite chocolate cake recipe so we had plenty of cake!

Olivia's First Haircut!

Olivia got her first haircut on 1/26/2011. I loved that her hair had gotten so long but it was so uneven in the back and so it was pretty scraggly. I took her to Pigtails & Crewcuts in Southlake and she loved it! She wanted to sit in the yellow taxi and she drove the whole time and was such a big girl. It doesn't look that much different than it did before because I didn't want to lose much length but it does look healthier and more even. The lady that cut it said there is a lot of new hair growing in underneath so I'm hoping it will thicken up over the next few months so we can even it up again and get her a cute little haircut!

Congrats and Good Luck to Lauren!

I am so happy for Lauren! She got a job with the State Department and will be working at a US Embassy in a foreign country. Not sure which country yet but we are hoping its a safe one. Preferably not Egypt :/
She should find out today and I can't wait to hear where she will be going. Right now she is training in Washington, DC and says it is very interesting and she is learning a lot. Before she left we went to a going away dinner for her at BJ's. Love you and miss you Lauren!

January Snow

We got about a minute's worth of snow on Jan 9th so we had to run out for some quick pics. We stood in the same place we did for last years snow pics. Olivia has changed so much in the past year but in her hat in jammies she looks just like she did in last years snow pictures.
These 2 pics are from this year

Christmas Eve

This was on Christmas Eve, right before bedtime and Olivia came and told me Leo was an ornament. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about so she pulled me into the living room and showed me where she had crammed Leo (from the Little Einsteins) into the Christmas tree so he was an ornament. She said, "You see it? Leo's a ORMINT!" Funny girl!

I had to show off this countdown calendar that Meredith made for Olivia. It is so cute! Each of the squares has a little container stuck on with velcro and there was different little treats in the containers. Some had M&M's, some had yogurt melts, some had gum drops, some had little hair clips, etc... Olivia looked forward to opening one each day to see what her treat was. Thanks again Mer!

My parents always took pictures of their "setup" of the gifts on Christmas Eve night after me and Zach went to bed. I love looking at those pictures! It totally takes me back to those Christmas mornings when we got our first bikes, scooters, Lite Brite, Get in Shape Girl, LOL, train sets, etc... So after me, Johnnie, Randy and my parents finished putting things together and setting them out I took a couple of pics.

Kitty has used the tent more than Olivia has :)

Olivia's hat

Olivia came running out of her room one day saying, "Mama, look at my hat!" Those are the bottoms to one of her swimsuits :) Poor girl also had a cold sore on her chin!!! I felt so bad for her - it lasted over 2 weeks and took me a while to figure out what it was. She still has a red spot where it was :(

My Snugglebugs

How cute are these two? I love to see them snuggle and love on each other. And every once in a while we'll catch Kitty licking King - so sweet!

She is licking his leg

Then she buried her face and went to sleep :)
