Yo Gabba Gabba Meet n Greet

Vans shoes in Southlake had a Yo Gabba Gabba Meet n Greet the Saturday before Thanksgiving which is the day we were doing Thanksgiving with Johnnie's family. Nathan and Preston love Gabba too so Lindsey and I and the kids met in Southlake at noon. The meet and greet was from 1-3pm. As we had assumed the line was getting pretty long when we got there but we had planned ahead and got McDonalds for the kids since we knew we'd have to sit for at least an hour since the line wouldn't move until 1pm at the earliest. The weather was perfect and the kids were really good considering how long we had to wait. After an hour the line started moving which was nice but at one point we got annoyed and it was 1:45 and the line hadn't moved for awhile. The kids were getting cranky and the adults were getting pissed. Finally the line started moving again and I think we got in to see the characters around 2:15. We were whisked in, said some quick hellos to Plex, Foofa and Brobee, posed for a picture, received our pictures and out the door we went. The things we do for our kids :)

this is the line that formed BEHIND us after we got there - so long! I'm so glad we got there when we did.
Vans management was catching some heat from the parents because the line hadn't moved in so long. They sent some guy out with some stickers and buttons to try and make people happy. Does it look like that made my seester happy? So Olivia wanted to wear her sticker on her shirt.
That lasted about a second. Then I broke out the Magna Doodles and I'm pretty sure that saved our afternoon. So this is what we waited for...

I said it that day and will say again that if I had it to do all over I totally would do it again because Olivia thought it was so awesome that she got to give hi fives and hugs to her Gabba friends.
