August 2009

We didn't do a whole lot in August but I took a ton of pics of Olivia so here are part of them. I'll post the rest later.
Here she is lookin like a little boy, just sittin nekkid in the chair.

In these pics we were sitting out on the deck at my parents house. I think I captured all her personalities, lol!

My dad cleaned up my moms little wheeled yardwork seat thing and turned it into a little wagon for Olivia and she loved it. They started on the carpet in the living room but ended up outside in the driveway and she had the best time.

I talked about the Johnny Jump Up and how much my brother loved it when he was little. Well here is Olivia at my parents house in her Jenny Jump Up. The first pic is Zach in the 1984 model. In the last pic, King came in and wasn't sure how safe that contraption was so he decided he'd better sit close by and supervise.

The new Cowboy stadium was open one day for the season ticket holders so Johnnie, Olivia, and I went to check out our seats and eat some junk food. Olivia was real impressed :)

When my parents and Zach and Lindsay went skiing back in February my mom picked out these cute grizzly bear jammies for Olivia. They are pretty boyish but very cute. She feels like she's camping when she wears them :)

When I am in my bathroom getting ready Olivia hangs out in her bouncer. Here are pics of her and her glow worm keeping each other company while I put my makeup on. The last pic reminded me so much of my brother's baby pic. They look so much alike!

Lindsay's singin pics

Lindsay started singing at different places that had open mike nights back when I was pregnant. It was always late and usually somewhere smoky so since I was pregnant I never went. My brother and my mom ALWAYS went though and reported back to me how good she did and how much fun they all had. It was always during the week and they both had to get up very early for work the next morning but they wanted to be there for her and they always had so much fun. After Olivia was born, the first time we went and saw her sing was at Fresco's in Burleson on Labor Day weekend. Another band was playing there and let her sing during their break. It was really nice b/c it was out on the patio and it wasn't smoky or late so we could bring Olivia. Lindsay did a great job and we all had fun. I specifically remember how surprised I was at how thoughtful Zach was toward Olivia. He noticed that someone at our table was fixing to smoke so he got up and asked me to get up and I followed him and he just wanted to let me know that they were fixing to smoke if I wanted to pick up Olivia and walk around with her until they were done. I thought that was very sweet of him to even notice something like that. Ok, so that wasn't the point of this post but just something I thought of. ANYWAY - after Zach's accident Lindsay wanted to keep going to open mike nights b/c she knew it was what he would want her to do. Johnnie was AWESOME and would stay home with Olivia while I went and watched her sing. On Monday nights at Turkey Creek in Alvarado, every other Tuesday night at Overtime in Burleson, every other Wednesday night either at Caddo Street Grille in Cleburne or at Happy Armadillo in Everman. Then on Thursday nights she would sometimes either open up for a band or sing on their break. The bands she was opening up for were the Amos Moses Band and the Double R Band. Then the Matt Kimbrow Band asked her to open up for them at Overtime in Burleson on a Thursday night and she did so great that the owner asked her to come back and open the following Saturday night for Kimberly Kelly. Those were really fun nights and since then she has opened up for Matt Kimbrow at On the Border in Burleson and at Filthy McNasty's in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Lately she has chilled out a little and is doing a lot of writing and not a lot of singing out at places but she plans to get back into it. It is a nice break for me too since I have never been a big "night owl." I really wanted to be there to support her though and had a lot of fun. Johnnie called me Miss Honky Tonk for a while there, LOL! He really was a great sport about taking care of Olivia and I am so thankful I have the best husband ever. The week Lindsay opened for Matt Kimbrow at Overtime we were up there for open mike night and on the way to the bathroom I saw this poster and had to take a pic!
So they spelled her name wrong but whatev, it was just really cool to see it on there. Here are a few pics of her from that night.

And here are a couple of pics from the following Saturday when she opened for Kimberly Kelly.

Thanks to all of my friends and family who have come out to support her! I'll let everyone know when and where she is singing.

Rowdy Ray Moore

Meet Rowdy Ray, our newest family member. He is Lindsay's new Bloodhound puppy. He is super cute and super rambunctious. My brother had said if he had a boy he would name him Rowdy Ray. At the end of July when my parents went to Colorado, Olivia and I went with Lindsay and her cousin Kiley to Aubrey, TX and to look at Bloodhound puppies and they had one boy left so we of course we couldn't leave without him. He has grown SOOO much since I took these pics so I'll have to take more soon.

July 2009

Olivia, King and I packed up and moved home after spending all of June in Alvarado with my parents and Lindsay. We still go out there and hang out on Tuesdays and Thursdays and everyone enjoys that. My parents also went to Colorado for a week in July and that was a nice getaway for them. And we got a new family member in July. I may just have to introduce him later. He deserves his own post :)

Just sittin on the couch looking cute. Lindsay got her this super cute onesie and my cousin Shannon got her the zebra socks and they look so cute together.

My dad put Olivia down in the recliner in his shop while he was out there working and she watched him as he walked back in forth in front of her. She decided it was a good place for a nap. Mox is so sweet. He doesn't act very interested in Olivia but if we set her down anywhere outside he acts like he has to protect her and he lays by her until we pick her up.

Olivia with her Nana

Johnnie originally said he would never "wear" the baby. He said he would rather just carry her. But it didn't take long for him to realize that having two hands is NICE.

Ah, solid foods. I couldn't wait until Olivia turned 4 mos so I could start giving her something besides that dang bottle. But after feeding her baby food for a couple of days I decided it was more trouble that it was worth. Especially since her pediatrician had said it wasn't really for nutrition at her age. It was just to teach her how to eat. Well, my child learned how to eat fairly quickly but just didn't eat that much so we would sometimes go a few days without any baby food in the beginning. But now she is much more interested in it so she usually eats about 2 jars per day. So far sweet potatoes have been her fave. But she eats pretty much anything we give her. Here are some pics of her eating and sitting in her highchair. She looks so tiny in that big ol chair. Thanks to Dave & Bridget for the highchair!

Olivia gettin some lovin from her Aunt Lindsay

Carolyn and I don't get together often enough but hopefully we will start getting together more so the girls can play. I went to her house one day and Sophia and Olivia were so cute together!

Johnnie told me to have myself and Olivia ready to go when he got home from work so we could go eat. He is usually not one to want to take pictures but when he saw how cute his baby girl looked when he got home he wanted me to take some pics of him with her.

When I first starting putting Olivia in her highchair it was almost like a new toy. She hadn't ever sat up that high by herself before and so it was pretty entertaining. I left her in there while I was getting some clothes out of the dryer and when I came back this is how I found her. Too cute.

This is just my babe lookin cute fixing to go for a ride. Love her!
