Strep Throat and Random pics

So I have strep throat, UGH! I'm so bummed. We had a fun-filled weekend planned full of slumber parties, pumpkin patches, and birthday parties and now what? I guess I just lay here and get better. It started at 3am when I woke up with a terribly sore throat. I told Johnnie I didn't feel good and then I couldn't go back to sleep. I tossed and turned and wondered if I had strep or the flu or the swine flu or what. At 7:30 Johnnie called my mom and asked if she could come watch Olivia. I left for the doctor at 9 and Johnnie stayed here until my mom got here and then he went to work. The doc said I had fluid behind both ears, the inside of my nose is very irritated and I have a super red throat with puss on my tonsils, YUCK! Hope no one is eating while reading this. Anyway he tested me for strep and it came back positive. He said he was going to give me a shot and it was going to hurt. Then the nurse came in with the shot and told me it was going to hurt. I hate shots when they don't really hurt but everyone was acting like this was the worst shot ever. And boy was it! It was an antibiotic. Bicillin I think. It hurt really bad and still does. Then he prescribed me antibiotic pills, steroid pills, magic mouthwash, and gave me a sample of Nasonex. So I left there, got me some chicken minis, and dropped my perscription off at Costco. When I came home I didn't want Olivia to see or hear me b/c I knew she would want me and cry and that would make me sad. So my mom stayed in the living room and played with her while I slept. I decided it would be best for Olivia to stay the night at my parents house until its been 24 hours after my shot. So I haven't seen her all day except on the monitor when she was taking her nap and I haven't gotten to hold her since last night :( I know she's having a lot of fun with Mimi and Poppy though. Lindsay and Rowdy were supposed to come over tonight for a slumber party. I wanted the dogs to get to play and for us to watch Wedding Crashers (she's never seen it!) and eat pizza. But I guess we'll have to do that another night. And Carolyn and I were going to take Olivia and Sophia to a pumpkin patch today. And we are supposed to go to a birthday party tomorrow afternoon for little Grady & Georgia Saunders. I think Johnnie is going to still take Olivia and I'll just sit this one out. I'm so sad about that. And Sunday we were supposed to go to a pumpkin patch with Chris, Lara, and Hayden. I guess there's always next weekend. So that's been my day. I'm feeling ok right now but missin my honey and my baby. Johnnie is on his way home with Kroger chinese food and I can't wait. Here are some random pics from this month:
Kylie came over after school one day and while I took a shower Olivia slept on her. Too cute!

Olivia loves her Halloween jammies!

The Fair

Johnnie and I have always loved going to the fair. We mainly just walk around and eat fried junk but its always fun. Last year after Zach & Lindsay got married she wanted to go to the fair so her & Zach, me & Johnnie, and my parents all went and I'll never forget that day. Oh yeah, Olivia was there too, in my belly :) Lindsay wanted to go again this year on the same day, October 7th, so we went, with the exception of Johnnie who had to work. It was sad being there without Zach but we made the best of it and Olivia kept us all happy. Here are pics from last year and then this year.

Olivia's first taste of a corny dog!

She thought it was pretty tasty, LOL!

She also liked riding the carousel!

There was a monster truck out there called "Blue Thunder" and my dad put Olivia in one of the big tires. She looked so cute!

The Ranch

The first weekend in October we went with Chris, Lara and Hayden to the Cassidy's ranch in south Texas. We always have a blast down there but this time it was especially fun since Olivia and Hayden were there. They both had so much fun and enjoyed all the attention. It was Olivia's first time on a plane and I'll just say she did alright. It definitely could've been worse so I really can't complain but she did get pretty upset a couple of times. She's not one to just sit around in your lap. She likes you to be up and moving so it was difficult for her to just sit for so long. I bought some of those Gerber Puffs and we started those while still sitting on the runway :) She likes them and they have saved us quite a few times from big fits. When we got to the airport in Corpus we were supposed to get a FULL size rent car but they were out of those and offered us a MID size but Johnnie told them that wouldn't work b/c we had 2 kids. We didn't really b/c Chris' mom was there to pick them up but they didn't know that and gave us a minivan, LOL. It was quite humorous but it turned out really great and we drove the wheels off of it all weekend. We got down there on a Thursday night. Friday morning me, Olivia, Lara, Hayden, and Pam took the minivan to the Walmart in Alice and loaded up on diapers, wipes, baby food, etc... Pam got a jumperoo and it turned out to be Olivia's favorite thing. She jumped and jumped and jumped all weekend. Hayden loved it too and I'm sure it will soon be the hit of the ranch for her too! On Saturday the boys went to Baffin Bay to go fishing and so me, Olivia, Lara, Hayden, Pam, and Aunt Becky hopped in the minivan and went to Kingsville to shop. We had a lot of fun and got some cute stuff. Olivia really loved going on rounds. For those of you that have never been on a round, its just taking either the golf cart or the mule around the property and looking at everything. Its so much fun because you never know what you might see. This time we saw deer, hogs, a snake, lots of dove and quail, cows, donkeys, bunnies, and a turtle. Olivia loved the wind blowing in her hair and even wore her sunglasses.

This is the snake we saw! It was huge and Olivia saw it as it slithered off the path and into the grass.

It poured down rain one day and since Olivia had never been in rain I ran out into it and she thought it was pretty cool. We got soaked!

Olivia loves doggies so she had fun playing and kissing on the dogs at the ranch.
This is Tekalody. I have no idea how to spell that. She is the sweetest of the ranch dogs and she stays outside and protects the ranch. Her and Olivia made out quite a few times.

This is Buddy. He is a weenie dog with webbed feet. He wasn't as interested in the babies as the other dogs. He pretty much keeps to himself unless he thinks you might give him a bite of your food :)

This is Amber's dog, Gracie Mae. She is super sweet and let Olivia love on her and give her kisses.
Hayden has the most amazing crystal blue eyes! She's so pretty!

Olivia loved riding on the mower with her daddy!

Olivia and Hayden were so cute together. It was fun watching them interact and look at each other and grab each other.
